Paro Full-day Sightseeing
After breakfast, continue exploring Paro’s cultural highlights. Guests may choose the Tiger’s Nest hike depending on fitness, weather and available time; it is a demanding uphill walk and should be planned as the main activity of the day. Perched dramatically on a cliff high above the Paro Valley, Taktsang is one of Bhutan’s most celebrated sacred sites. The hike follows a mountain trail through forest to viewpoints and the monastery area. Allow several hours for the round trip, take water, wear suitable walking shoes and follow local guidance. Access to the monastery may be affected by weather or operational restrictions. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most revered temples, with a history traditionally traced to the 7th century. Its serene grounds and religious significance offer a quieter cultural experience. If open, visit Ta Dzong, the former watchtower that houses the National Museum of Bhutan. Its collections introduce visitors to the country’s art, cultural objects and heritage. Museum access and hours may change, so confirm locally before visiting. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Paro.
